Right now is the first time I've been able to get on in several days; just kept timing out. And, yep, this is probably the 5th time I've had to log-in this month. The last stable release of the forum software was v3.3.11, published last October. I don't think there's a way to tell what version is running unless you have admin rights, but I kinda doubt the board is current, and some versions of the PHP code interpreter as well as the MySQL database have been deprecated and retired during the last couple of years. It could be that there's a disconnect in the versions of those three elements that's contributing to the weird behavior we've been seeing the past several months.
I took a gander at the source code for this page, and I see multiple references to a "version 207," but mostly referring to the template, style sheets, and other inclusions. I don’t know if this actually means something like "version 2.07" or not, but if it does, then updates are
way behind.
