Re: Shipping Firearms Just Became Harder

The USPS restriction on non-FFL dealers mailing handguns needs to be lifted. It is a government institution violating civil rights. What is a non FFL dealer? Basically, anybody who does not hold a Federal Firearms Licenses to deal in the trade of firearms. I certainly could have stated that better....

Re: Fed Court Ruling: Texas law prohibiting 18-20 LTC violoates 2A

Somebody please correct me if I get part of this wrong. This was a state case about preventing people 18-20 from legally carrying. In Texas, 18-20 year-olds can buy a handgun from an individual. No handgun sales to people under 21 is a federal law, which applies to dealers. I think there are cases c...

Re: Reloading Carry Ammo?

I have handloaded carry ammo for some guns because I was not happy with the factory ammo available. If I ever have to justify it? I am not in law enforcement. I have a weapon to protect myself and my family in case of attack. I experimented with projectiles and powders until I identified a combinati...

Re: ‘Many, many’ Texas teachers seek to carry guns in schools, Tarrant County sheriff says

If you drive by a campus with armed personnel (teachers/staff/administrators), then you'll probably see a sign stating so. Based on my observations in rural central Texas - almost all districts do. The Texas School Safety, "Guardian" program allows districts greater selection and training ...

1911 with two extra mags (preferred). If I need to be stealthier, then J-frame revolver and a speed strip.
I very seldom carry both, although I frequently have my wife with me. She is similarly equipped.

"Compromise" In the immortal words of Andre the Giant: "You keep using that word. I don't think you know what it means." In a compromise, each side gives up something in order to get something. I know what Cornyn gave up: Red flag laws, extended background checks, more money to ...

Re: Shield EZ Mag Loader

I make things for a variety of reasons; convenience, economy, fun, quality, or nothing else is what I want. I'm not built to be a businessman. I've made decent money building custom furniture and cabinets for people, but even then my first response is if you can buy what you want it will be cheaper ...
